Meet Nick Donnelly a sergeant in the Canadian Army on medical leave to rehabilitate after an IED left him a left lower limb amputee.
They tried to save the leg but it is better this way, he tells himself and the few people who know the truth. Most of the town folks think his leg is injured and he will be the same as he was. But he knows he won’t be, however his greatest wish is to return to the Afghanistan front. But as he lives with his prosthesis he learns that although it is the best robotics possible, the landscape in the desert with sand all around may not be safe. But he does not want the al-Qaeda to determine his future.
