Ah, yes…so how erotic can hot tubs be? Lou and Toby are about to find out, in this scene from Tequila Sunrise, the first novella in the brand new Cocktail Cruise series…
Lou lowered herself inch by inch into the water. She remained on the opposite side of the tub, but it was small enough that his legs twined around hers once she was in. Silky smooth. Soft and pliant. He swallowed and tried to keep his eyes focused on hers.
“Where are your friends?” she asked.
“We grabbed something at the buffet. Think they’re at the casino tonight. Gambling isn’t really my thing.”
“No?” She tilted her chin just enough that those green eyes caught his in the starlight. “We’re kind of gambling here though, aren’t we? Taking chances?”
He slid one hand under the water and up her calf. “Are we?”
She giggled and slipped farther down, to her chin. Her hair floated around her.
He moved his thumb in circles along her leg, moving up in slow degrees until he reached the back of her knee. She stopped giggling. Her eyes closed, and a sigh fell from her lips. He reached for her other leg with the opposite hand and did the same. Slowly, he pulled her across the hot tub, until her legs were wrapped around his waist and she was nestled in his lap.
For a second, she pressed her hands to her belly. “I’m…” She stopped. “I’m glad it’s dark,” she finished, and he wondered if she could really be that unaware of how gorgeous she was, how crazy her body drove him.
Without answering, he raised his mouth to hers. God, she tasted good. Her lips opened, her tongue darted inside and he tasted wine and toothpaste and more as he pulled her against him. Her hands went to the back of his neck, her fingers in his hair, and the softest whimper escaped her.
The water bobbed gently, rising up and over the edge of the hot tub, and he could feel perspiration slipping down the back of his neck. He licked her throat and tasted salt. “I want you,” he whispered. “So damn much.”
She pulled back a little, still sitting on his lap, still turning him to stone. Damp hair fell on her cheeks and her neck and he reached up to pull one strand away. Her shoulders and the top part of her breasts were out of the water, and at his touch she shivered. Gooseflesh appeared. She bit her bottom lip. “Toby, it’s…” She took a deep breath. “It’s been a long time for me. Just so you know.”
