Happy Saturday!

Hard to believe it’s the last weekend of July already. Where did summer go? And my younger daughter turns 16 tomorrow…Auughh, I’m getting old!

Karenna Colcroft here, caffeinating myself as usual and ready to party today! The release I’m celebrating isn’t officially out yet, but it’s been available for pre-order since June and will release on Wednesday. So it’s a pre-celebration, but if you like the book you’ll be able to order your copy right away from Dreamspinner Press, in either ebook or paperback.

To kick things off, I’d like to share the cover. I absolutely LOVE these guys. They’re exactly how I envisioned my main characters, Shane McCarthy (foreground) and Thaniel Robichaud. The two, along with three other guys, are in a band called Love Like Vampires; the band and story have nothing at all to do with vampires, it’s just a cool name. (It’s also the name of a song by a real-life band, and I’ll tell you a little about that in my Story Behind the Story post a bit later.)

Meanwhile, here’s the cover and blurb, and I’ll be back in a little while with an excerpt.

LoveLikeVampires200

All Thaniel Robichaud has ever wanted is for his band to hit the big-time. All Shane McCarthy has ever wanted is Thaniel.

Friends since childhood, Thaniel and Shane started making music together while still in junior high school. In the ten years since, they’ve taken their band, Love Like Vampires, from struggling over chords in Thaniel’s basement to headlining at clubs, and recently they opened for one of rock’s biggest names. Along the way, Shane stunned Thaniel with a proclamation of love, and when Thaniel returned his feelings, their relationship gave them the strength to weather the rough patches. But with the band about to break apart, it may not be enough to hold everything together. Their dream is slipping through their fingers just as they’re perched on the cusp of success.
